a rustic, classic wedding at gather in mckinney

Jessica and Will (whose Gaylord Texan engagement session I photographed just a few months ago) are officially MARRIED! They tied the knot this month in Historic Downtown McKinney! Their wedding took place at a gem of a wedding venue called The Gather, which is an intimate space perfect for indoor wedding ceremonies and receptions in the greater Dallas area. This was one of my first weddings of the season, and what better way to kick it off? Jessica and Will’s wedding at Gather in McKinney was filled with joy, laughter, and lots and lots of dancing!

The wedding day look consisted of timeless, classic charm, rustic touches, and a romantic cream/gray/blush color palette.  The Gather in McKinney was a perfect backdrop for their special day!  One of the great things about this McKinney wedding venue is that it doesn’t take much to decorate. The Gather has such wonderful textures and lots of character, so it really is best to let the venue and its look speak for itself. That’s just what Jessica and Will chose to do as they planned for their wedding day!

We took advantage of the natural light that spilled in through the windows for getting ready photos and details, and then the nearby alleyways for photographs. Everything was so close by, which lent to the intimate feel of Jessica and Will’s wedding day. When their friends and family began to arrive, it was as if everyone was getting together to kick it for the day. Once the couple was announced as husband and wife, it was time to celebrate and let loose! Michael Vieira of Le Force Entertainment did a great job getting the party started! I’ll bet that if allowed to, everyone would have stayed well into the early hours of the morning just dancing and celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Parmer!
