Oh boy…I can’t even begin to express how giddy I was to shoot Kristin and Russell’s wedding at Woodcreek Country Club in Columbia, South Carolina. Kristin is easily one of the most caring people I’ve met, and Russell…well, he is just hilarious! Their dynamic is so fun to witness, and I truly found myself getting emotionally wrapped up in the day!

This incredibly adorable couple were high school sweethearts and met on their way to orchestra class. (Check out their “story walk” in the detail photos!) This made the stringed accompaniment to which they said their vows even more special! The navy and kelly green colors were a gorgeous compliment to this late spring wedding, and made for a very crisp color palette against Woodcreek Country Club’s clean, airy scheme.

On a personal note, there are some “clients” (said with quotes, because it seems so impersonal!) that become your cheerleaders, and also your best source of advertising – like Kristin! Kristin not only shared her enthusiasm for my work with friends, but also was incredibly encouraging to me early on in my business. Maintain these relationships AT ALL COST – they are the ones that will keep you going when you feel like giving up, and are also the ones who will be honest with you when you need it!

To sum up the day…we laughed, we cried – which, I think, is the making of a perfect wedding day. I loved celebrating Kristin and Russell’s union and was honored to photograph the day as it unfolded!
