I am so excited to share Dani and Matt’s Adriatica Village Engagement Photos on the blog today! One of the best things about being a Dallas Wedding Photographer is not only having the opportunity to meet new couples, but also exploring new locations. The Dallas area is home to some gorgeous backdrops, and I’m always up for adding more to my arsenal! Adriatica Village was the perfect location for this couple’s McKinney engagement session, and I loved spending time getting to know this bride and groom to be!
Adriatica Village in McKinney, Texas is a charming, Mediterranean-style village with mixed residential and commercial spaces. I loved the neutral stone backdrops as well as the scenic water views it offered. The design is something you really have to see in person – its European style is truly like nothing else in north Dallas! Having grown up in the area, Dani and Matt were fairly familiar with Adriatica Village. As a matter of fact, Dani (who was born in Bosnia – so cool!), was able to attest to the accuracy of Adriatica’s architecture, which was actually designed to resemble a fishing town off of the coast of Croatia!
As we wandered through the streets of Adriatica Village, I got the chance to learn more about this sweet, soft spoken couple. Matt and Dani are high school sweethearts and met in AP Psychology as juniors. She sheepishly shared with me that their first date was at Taco Bell in 11th grade – so cute! I think we can all say that we can remember those simple dates back in the day! In keeping with their quiet, intimate personalities, Matt proposed to Dani at their home after dinner. He even canopied the living room and lit lots of candles to set the mood. Of course, Dani was swept off her feet and said yes to spending a lifetime with her best friend and love of her life!
I can’t wait for Matt and Dani’s wedding at McKinney Wedding Venue Piazza on the Green this September! In the meantime, enjoy these beautiful Adriatica Village engagement photos from our time together!
