Months before Garrett and Haylie’s wedding day, I met them at The Harbor Rockwall for one of my favorite engagement sessions to date. Not only was the weather gorgeous and the light perfect, but Haylie and Garrett came prepared. We started out with adorable, casual portraits and then they changed into formal wear for breathtaking portraits right by the water. I was in love with Haylie’s long, black formal dress and Garrett’s dashing suit. I just knew their wedding photos would end up just as gorgeous and I couldn’t wait to document one of the biggest days of their lives!
Romantic Ceremony and Reception at Belltower Chapel & Garden
Haylie and Garrett chose the perfect wedding venue in Fort Worth when they decided on the Belltower Chapel and Garden. Close to downtown in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, this unique, indoor wedding venue sits on a private 20-acre campus. The stone chapel was designed with stained glass windows, a steeple, and working bell tower – so much fun! The chapel offers beautiful light through the stained glass windows and the arched ceilings create a beautiful frame for the bride and groom.
Haylie fell in love with the venue when she saw the stained glass windows in the chapel and found out the reception hall was attached, simplifying the wedding day’s timeline. Even the reception hall featured gorgeous stained glass windows! The intimate setting in the reception hall was perfect for their friends and family.
Elegant Wedding Style With Burgundy, Blush, and Gold Details
Haylie has such an elegant style that was complemented by Belltower’s beautiful space. The bridesmaids wore long, flowing dresses in burgundy and Haylie looked stunning in her beaded wedding dress with intricate details. Haylie and her bridesmaids looked amazing AND comfortable, an impressive feat on a wedding day! I just love that the florals included touches of burgundy and blush and tied the rest of the ceremony and reception details together.
I already knew they were a gorgeous couple from their engagement session and that they would look even more amazing on their wedding day. Garrett looked dashing in his suit, of course, and could’ve easily been mistaken for a model in his groom portraits.
Walking Down the Aisle to Say “I Do”
The Belltower Chapel was just so perfect for Haylie and Garrett’s traditional ceremony with those stained glass windows and high arched ceilings. Not all chapels have great lighting, but the Belltower Chapel is designed to allow plenty of natural light in for romantic ceremonies like Haylie and Garrett’s. And the blue design that reaches to the ceiling behind the couple adds just enough color without taking away from the couple.
When Haylie walked down the aisle with her father, you could watch Garrett’s face light up as he watched his bride. Her cathedral length veil fit the chapel settings and added to the elegance of her wedding dress. Even with the carefully planned details, the focus was clearly on the spirituality of the ceremony for the couple and the lighting of the candles was beautiful to watch.
Friends and family teared up as they watched Haylie and Garrett say, “I do,” and kiss for the first time as man and wife. There was so much excitement and happiness from the couple and their guests as they made their way back down the aisle together!
The Belltower Chapel and Garden for Bridal Party Portraits
Before making our way outdoors, we took advantage of the beautiful chapel once again for family group photos. While I was looking forward to the portraits outside, I appreciate having the option to take formal portraits after the ceremony in such a great setting.
Of course every one of Haylie and Garrett’s bridesmaids and groomsmen was stunning! Those burgundy dresses were flattering on all the ladies and the men looked handsome in their formal suits and burgundy ties. They were such a great group and so much fun to photograph!
When we were finished with the bridal party, we focused on portraits of the newly wedded couple. Having the ceremony and reception right next to each other allowed us plenty of time, which made it easy to take photos walking along the grounds and even check out the bell tower!
Once the sun set, we stepped away once again for more portraits of the couple in the chapel. I love even more romantic the chapel seems after the sun goes down with the lighting that accents the tall ceilings. We really had so many options for Haylie and Garrett’s portraits without taking too much time away from the reception.
Fun Reception in the Belltower Reception Hall
While the garden is an option for wedding receptions, the reception hall was the perfect space for the couple’s friends and family. The burgundy and gold decor went along with the rest of their wedding details and the stained glass windows added plenty of color to the room. They had a beautiful first dance while their guests watched happily on.
Haylie and Garrett’s wedding day at the Belltower Chapel and Garden had so many beautiful moments and their reception continued with touching words and plenty of laughs especially during the toasts. It was great watching the couple celebrate with their friends and family that were obviously ecstatic to support the couple and their new marriage on their special day!
