A Trendy Dallas Wedding at the Perot Museum
Vanchelsa and Brad bring so much laughter and playfulness wherever they go and their wedding at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in downtown Dallas reflected their happy, vibrant personalities! The entire day was filled with bright colors, beautiful details, and a jubilant group of people celebrating an incredible couple on one of the most important days of their lives.
A Surprise Proposal With Balloons, Flowers, and Macarons
Vanchelsa and Brad met in 2014 in a local kickball league, which already makes them sound like a fun couple. She loves everything to do with Texas including Aggie football, sweet tea, her dog Remi, and roadtripping across the state. He loves college football, especially the Tennessee Volunteers, playing with his own dog Buster, and reading nerdy studies.
Brad started planning Vanchelsa’s surprise proposal months in advance with an emphasis on surprise! Months leading up to the proposal, Brad sent Vanchelsa a fake email thread mentioning that a group of friends were wanting to spend a weekend in the Texas Hill Country Club so they added it to their calendar.
Pulling up to the bed and breakfast, Vanchelsa expected to be meeting her friends until she started noticing the balloons, flowers, champagne, and macarons. When she turned around, Bradford was on one knee when he popped the question! What an adorable engagement story for an equally adorable couple!
Prepping for the Big Day at the Drybar and Blushington
Vanchelsa started her bridal prep at the Blushington Makeup and Beauty Lounge for a bright, but natural makeup look. Blushington did such an amazing job helping Vanchelsa relax while they pampered her and took great care to choose makeup that complemented her natural beauty and added a touch of glamour for her special day. The Drybar Blowout Salon just next door styled her gorgeous long, brown hair with a blowout that made her look elegant, fun, and bridal all at the same time.
Fun Bridal Details in Blue and Orange
The blue and orange color palette Vanchelsa and Brad chose created the perfect balance between playful and romantic, very fitting for the two of them! The pale orange and white flowers added a soft splash of color and oranges and tangerines accented their details. Their invitations were just amazing and should probably be framed somewhere. And I could not get over how vibrantly blue and chic her shoes were. The fun, colorful style of the entire wedding emphasized everything their friends and family love about the couple.
First Look at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science
The front of the Perot Museum of Nature and Sciencenever looked so romantic than it did when Vanchelsa slowly walked up to Brad and tapped him on the shoulder to turn around and see his gorgeous wife for the first time. With her fun, breathtaking gown and his stylish orange and blue bowtie, they looked like they clearly belonged together and it showed in every single one of their wedding photos. And I love that she spun him to get a good look at him!
Ceremony in Front of a Sparkling, World Renown Geode
Vanchelsa and Brad found one of the most unique wedding venues in Dallas at the Perot Museum. The happy couple said their vows in front of a world renown sparkling geode in the Lyda Hill Gems and Minerals Hall. Named The Eyes of Africa, this magnificent backdrop to the couple’s ceremony is rare and colorful and went on a 10 year journey with the man who discovered it before finding its place in the Dallas museum. That precious mineral highlighted the bride and groom’s colorful personalities and joyous display of love.
I loved how the bridesmaid dresses were so colorful and fun, once again complementing Vanchelsa and Brad’s personalities and the wedding’s unique style.
And, of course, they had the most adorable first kiss as man and wife before turning to their family and friends and excitedly showing their off new spouse! I can’t say enough about the beauty in this ceremony from the extraordinary venue to the sparkling geode behind the couple as they exchanged vows to Vanchesla and Brad’s pure excitement to finally marry the love of their lives in front of their family and friends.
Wedding Reception With Dinosaurs and Glowsticks
The reception hall at the Perot Museum was absolutely amazing with plenty of color, beautiful lighting, and a huge panoramic monitor that showed off photos of Vanchelsa and Brad and their life together. Their reception details looked like they jumped right off a Pinterest board. And that dessert table with macaroons and the watercolor cake surrounded by all those tasty chocolate treats? Yes, please!
Vanchesla and Brad had the sweetest first dance, of course. And once the party started, the newly married couple danced, drank, and sang with their wedding guests along with the The Perot’s dinosaur display and ended the night with a sendoff of colorful glowsticks waved by their guests. Everything about Vanchesla and Brad’s wedding was absolutely perfect and authentic and stayed true to them as individuals and as a couple. Thank you to all the vendors that helped make this Pinterest worthy wedding the most fun celebration to likely ever grace a Dallas museum.
