Just a few weeks ago, I was so thrilled to meet up with Bailey and Chris to photograph their engagement session right here in Columbia, South Carolina! Our schedules happened to line up just perfectly. I had the Saturday before Easter free for a portrait session, and they were in the area putting together some plans for their upcoming wedding this August at Senate’s End! It could not have worked out more perfectly, especially considering that it was supposed to pour this day…but the weather turned out perfectly with just the right amount of sunlight! I absolutely LOVE the spring colors we captured together!

Bailey and Chris met on the very day that Bailey’s parents dropped her off for her first day of college, but didn’t actually start dating until her sophomore year. Now, they are preparing for a lifetime of love, adventure, and oh, the laughter! Bailey and Chris are full of so much life and joy! You know those couples who can just give each other a look and seem to know what the other is thinking? Yeah – that’s them! They have an ability to make one another laugh without saying a word, which made their engagement session so much fun!

The Riverwalk and downtown Columbia area were PERFECT choice for their engagement photos. It lent a lighthearted and relaxed feel to the entire day. We spent the session smiling, laughing, and getting to know each other a little better while capturing some stunning images. If I’m totally honest, I’d have to say it’s a miracle we were able to snap some photos without people in the background! It seemed everyone was out enjoying the perfect Easter weekend!
