Oh Chelsea and Matt… words can’t begin to describe how much I LOVE this couple! From day one, their ability to relate and connect with others was so apparent. Chelsea and Matt both have this lovable energy about them, not just individually, but as a couple… and you can’t help but feel totally at ease and comfortable around them. I know I was a little sad when our first coffee date came to an end! :)

Chelsea and Matt were high school sweethearts who dated for six years and waited until they had wrapped up college before the wedding planning process. Like most young girls, Chelsea had big dreams about her proposal, and dreamed up an extravagant proposal story. When they were both preteens, Chelsea told Matt she wanted to be flown to a private island to pick out a diamond in the sand, then to Paris where her future husband would propose in front of the Eiffel Tower. Then, they would carve their initials in some special place. (Can you imagine?! ;) )

Not wanting to let her down, Matt tucked this into his memory…and years later he reenacted it. Matt took Chelsea for a run in a park which held special meaning for them, and then stopped because he noticed something shining in some sand off into the woods. Chelsea went to explore it, and found a selection of gemstones..so Matt prompted her to choose one. He then took her to another area in the park where he had set up an Eiffel Tower replica, and proposed to her in front of it. Of course, she said YES…and then they carved their initials into a nearby tree!

I just love their proposal story so much because especially when you meet this pair, you realize how much they mean to one another. They genuinely place each other’s needs and wants before their own. That kind of selfless love is rare and hard to find, and I can only imagine the many happy memories these two will soon be building.

Chelsea and Matt, I am so excited for your wedding in May at 403 Northlake! What an INCREDIBLE day it is going to be! So thankful to know you two!
