Some of the sweetest weddings are the ones that are simple, intimate, and effortless – ones that place a huge focus on faith, family, and friends as the highlight of the day. Jessica and Kris’s wedding at Special Moments Wedding Chapel in Lewisville, Texas was filled with so many touching moments that served as a reminder of what a wedding is truly about. From the down-home traditional chapel to the laughter of guests throughout the ceremony, it was truly the little things on this wonderful day that brought my attention to the responsibility of a wedding photographer – capturing little instances that make life as sweet and meaningful as it can be.

Jessica and Kris met in Austin when he moved into an apartment complex she was managing at the time. She and I were definitely able to connect on that – in case you didn’t know, I have a bit of experience from a previous life in leasing and managing apartment communities! Anyway, after two wonderful years together, Kris proposed on the rooftop of the same apartment community where they first met. I’ve always had a soft spot for rooftop engagements/weddings, and loved hearing all about how Kris popped the question!

Special Moments Chapel was the perfect place for a no-dress but meaningful wedding experience, which is exactly what Jessica and Kris wanted for their big day. I was beyond honored to play a small part in it all and witness one of the most moving wedding ceremonies ever.
