Oh, Katie and Alex – where do I even start? I had the honor of capturing the wedding for these two beautiful souls this past summer, and I am still pinching myself. Kind, gracious, generous…these words don’t even begin to adequately describe this couple! I could go on and on, but instead I’ll share about the joy I experienced on the day of their beautiful Las Colinas Country Club wedding!

The weekend showed a gloomy forecast, but Katie was enough light for us all as we began the day at the Omni Hotel in Las Colinas. The bridal suite was open and stately with huge windows for dreamy “getting ready” photos. I loved watching Katie interact with her maids, showing strong friendships she’d developed over the years and relationships that clearly meant the world. Alex was no different – when we met him at the venue for portraits prior to the first look, he was grinning from ear-to-ear and laughing with his groomsmen. There wasn’t an ounce of nervousness…just sheer excitement to see his beautiful bride!

Delicate and classic details were woven throughout Katie and Alex’s wedding day style. I loved the romantic florals with touches of pink, peach, and eggplant. And honestly, as beautiful as the colors and styling was, it had nothing on the love shared by this bride-and-groom-to-be. The positive impact that they had clearly had on so many of their relationships was a focal point of the day. And of course, they capped off the night with one huge party! Katie had actually gone from table to table thanking her guests and asking that they dance the night away – and that they most definitely did! I could feel the floor shaking beneath my feet!

The entire day was the perfect celebration for this couple that radiates with faith, purpose, generosity, and love. I am still just buzzing with happiness that I got to share this Las Colinas Country Club Wedding with Katie and Alex! Congratulations to the newlyweds and THANK YOU THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! I loved being a small part of your family and wish you all the best in your grand adventure together!
