Nearby, the sound of the ocean waves breaking on the rocks brought a calming comfort to her ears. The salt in the air was so present that she could taste it. She breathed in the fragrance from the orchid bouquet cradled gently in the crook of her arm, and breathed out any tension, allowing the tide to carry it away. Today was the day she would finally marry her best friend, her ally, the one she used to think could only exist in her dreams.

He meanwhile waited, anxious to see his bride, and occupied his mind with fidgeting hands and eyes that kept glancing at the watch encircling his wrist. Were they running behind? It didn’t matter – this was a woman worth waiting for, and God knew he’d been waiting for a lifetime.

Jackie and Danny were married in Castries, St. Lucia in a gazebo overlooking the ocean. The bride wore a white gown with a sweetheart neckline in a sheath cut that flattered her figure perfectly. Crystal beaded “barefoot” sandals danced their way around her slender ankles, and were crafted by two incredibly talented friends. The groom wore a seersucker suit with purple accents – a cool, smart look for a beach wedding.

Dustin and I were beyond honored to witness this magical affair, and were so happy to be a part of the union of two people who couldn’t be more special to us.
