Love is a wild ride. It’s fun and spontaneous, exciting and unpredictable. When you find the person you’re going to spend forever with…part of the fun is planning out all the little details of your wedding, which Lauren was thrilled to begin! Of course, life doesn’t always go as planned, and love is often the same. But that’s all part of the excitement, isn’t it?
Celebrating Lauren and Trevor at Prairie Creek Park
Lauren and Trevor were recently engaged and began their journey of wedding planning. Their engagement was a picture perfect scene in a rose petal covered suite in Puerto Vallarta. When it came time for engagement photos, Lauren really had her heart set on a session involving a field of wild flowers. Unfortunately, we had a pretty early spring where everything seemed to bloom and die off quickly before their session. Being the type-A go-getter she is, Lauren was undeterred. Not giving up on her vision of the perfect backdrop of wild flowers, Lauren did a bit of location scouting. She discovered a field over at Prairie Creek Park in Richardson where she heard some flowers were still hanging on! We met up at the location, found ourselves standing in a bare field, only to discover the last of the flowers had been mowed down just one week prior – seriously?! But as they say, “the show must go on!”.
Looking Forward to Their Big Day
I know how much Lauren really wanted to have flowers in the session, but the location was gorgeous none-the-less. She and Trevor really stood out and looked great, flowers or not! Just one of the many times in life where things don’t always go as planned, but if you roll with the punches you’ll find that the alternative can be just as beautiful. Lauren and Trevor have a fabulous wedding to which they get to look forward! Even better is a beautiful journey ahead together as husband and wife! I can’t wait to celebrate their big day at Windsor at Hebron Park next May!
Capturing these Prairie Creek Engagement Photos for Lauren and Trevor was such a treat. I can’t wait to see them again for their big day!
