I’ve been a little quiet on here, but it’s not because of the lack of weddings. Y’all, we are passed the bulk of this Covid chaos – weddings are BACK and I’m so pumped! I’ve been editing like crazy, and finally have time to share Cailin and John’s wedding at The Brooks at Weatherford.

It was the perfect way to start 2021 – the weather was on point, Blushington Blooms created the most gorgeous florals, and William with It’s Your Night knew the perfect tunes to play all night long!

I’m all about personal touches, and this couple knew how to do it right. Cailin incorporated all the important men in her life to assist with her walk down the aisle, asking her stepdad and grandfather to open the chapel doors for her and her dad. They all shared a short and sweet moment before she and her dad met John at the altar.

The cufflinks Cailin got made for John are one of a kind… it was her handwriting! The unique touches didn’t stop with them; they created a cozy little blanket nook for guests to stay toasty on the patio while they made s’mores, and got masks made for them and their guests specifically for wedding day. Masks are not only the “new normal” but becoming quite the accessory. Who would have thought masks would make it onto the planning list? Speaking of accessories, did you catch Cailin and John’s matching kicks at reception?! I am obsessed with them. And to top it off, they had a matching cake too – Sugar Bee Sweets knocked it out of the park!

This wedding was just what my soul needed. Cailin and John are extremely generous people who value relationships from all walks of life. I loved seeing the way John and his groomsmen were truly like brothers, and how Cailin loved on and embraced her sweet younger sisters. The dance floor never emptied, and you know this girl LOVES a dance party! Cailin told me she and John hoped the day would be romantic, and above all else, FUN. I’d say they nailed that too! Capturing Cailin and John’s big day ignited my passion, and reminds me why I love what I do so much.
