The constant threat of rain was a very real potential foil to the day. Cloud coverage loomed overhead most of the afternoon, causing Jon’Telle to move the ceremony indoors. Although the original plans for the ceremony to take place in the garden didn’t work out, Jon’Telle and LeRoi’s wedding at Senate’s End could not have been any more beautiful and heartfelt. The interior of Senate’s End features exposed brick and pipes which created a lovely contrast to the couple’s choice of vibrant greenery and blossoms. And most importantly, the emotions of the wedding day were so authentic and real, with friends and family celebrating on earth and in heaven.

If you’ve been following my blog for some time, you might remember Jon’Telle and LeRoi’s engagement session and also a few highlights from their family session last fall. I’ve had the privilege of getting to know them throughout their engagement period and also watching their little ones grow. Jon’Telle and LeRoi’s twin boys are close in age to my daughter, so I can totally relate to their season of life. This pair is truly one of the sweetest, most down-to-earth couples I have met, and the way that they love one another (including their boys) is inspiring. The fact that I get the huge blessing of knowing my brides and grooms on such an intimate level is why I love what I do!

Jon’Telle and Le’Roi’s wedding at Senate’s End teemed with florals and colors as vibrant as their love for one another. Although it might have been a rainy April wedding, I joked with Jon’Telle saying, “April showers bring Mayfield flowers…” and yes, Mayfield is her new last name. :)
