What a year of gorgeous weddings I was a part of in 2016! I had the privilege of lead photographing for many brides and grooms while also second shooting for lots of wedding photographers in Dallas. Although I’d certainly prefer photographing my own weddings, there are many awesome things about second shooting for other wedding photographers! For example, I’ve been able to network with some incredible talent across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and meet a lot of top notch photographers. Additionally, I’ve been afforded the opportunity to explore some new Dallas Fort Worth wedding venues, some of which I might never have been able to visit otherwise!

Last summer, the talented Jessica Adkins of Arravagio Photography invited me to second shoot for her at a private estate located in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Her bride and groom had an amazing rustic summer wedding day planned at the bride’s parents’ property. They went all out with warm, vibrant colors and rustic Western wedding details that captured their personalities perfectly. My favorite detail was the saloon (aptly titled “Last Chance Saloon) that the bride’s family built to partition off the bar area! I just love it when DIY is done right!

Since I was the second shooter, my duty was to capture all of the western and rustic themed wedding details in addition to photographing the groom.
