I’m thrilled to share Ryan and Jennifer’s wedding on the blog today! These two are so special to us, as Dustin attended high school and college with Jennifer. They’ve been great friends for some time now, and it’s wonderful to live back near her (and her NOW husband!) in the great city of Dallas, Texas! What an honor it was when Jennifer reached out to me to photograph her wedding at St. Matthews Cathedral in downtown Dallas!
Jennifer also attended mine and Dustin’s wedding years ago, which is when I actually first met her. I was able to see right away why Dustin thought so highly of this lovely lady! Jennifer is generous, funny, and incredibly intelligent. She and I have similar bubbly personalities, which makes her so easy to talk to. As a matter of fact, when we went to dinner with her and her then fiance prior to her wedding, we could have talked all night!
We also had the privilege of meeting Ryan, whose quiet strength perfectly compliments Jennifer’s more outgoing spirit. I knew it would take someone of equal mind and intelligence to pique Jennifer’s interest! That is most certainly did, she tells me, at a church event at which they first met! I love seeing how these two interact and care so deeply for one another. Something I’ve always believed is that love is an action, not a feeling – and the way that Jennifer and Ryan tend to one another shows me just how true it is.
Some of my favorite details from this wedding were Jennifer’s beautiful dress, which had a hint of blush pink in it (you can tell in the photo of her dress in the window), the plum hues that the bridesmaids wore, and of course the paper flowers which Jennifer and her friends carefully assembled from pages of books. Being a lover of literature, this 100% reflected her personality. Of course, photographing a wedding at St. Matthews Cathedral was also a dream – the architecture and appointments inside were breathtaking.
I hope you enjoy looking through these images and reliving this day with me! Jennifer and Ryan – thank you so much for the honor of capturing your beautiful memories!
