Today I get to share another recent wedding I had the honor of photographing – and that’s Ann and Noah’s big day! Ann and Noah were married at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Argyle followed by a celebration for their wedding at The Laurel in Grapevine. Although the temperatures soared that weekend (seriously, it got up to 112 degrees Fahrenheit!), everything was absolutely gorgeous and went as perfectly as we could have hoped for!
Ann chose to get ready for her big day at her family’s home. As soon as we arrived, we could sense the feeling of warmth and love shared by everyone. Ann’s dad was eager to help with anything and everything while all of the ladies bustled about to ensure the bride was happy. And happy she most definitely was – Ann is just so energetic and sweet, and full of joy! Her smile lights up any room and her laughter is contagious! As we began photographing all of the bridal details, we knew it was going to be a fabulous day!
Noah was getting ready and hanging out with his guys at the bride’s family’s property as well (although hidden away!). He and his crew were easy going and lots of fun. I could tell Noah was just so excited for the big day to finally be here – he was so looking forward to seeing his beautiful bride walk down the aisle!
Once everyone was finished getting ready, we drove to St. Mark’s for the ceremony. The couple shared communion with friends and family and were finally announced husband and wife! They shared the sweetest kiss and exited down the aisle with pure elation in their eyes. I always love this moment because I get to be one of the first to congratulate them as they make their way out the door!
We had a good break in the middle of the day which allowed us to take photos at the church as well as the reception venue. It was blazing hot outside, but Ann somehow managed to appear as cool as a cucumber! I don’t know how brides do it! As guests began arriving, they were greeted by gourmet popsicles from Steel City Pops (a local favorite) and then proceeded into the venue. One of my absolute favorite moments of the day was after the first dance! Everyone cheered for Ann and Noah, and Ann proceeded to give a running high five to everyone nearby! I have to say that her energy definitely set the mood for the rest of the night!
We partied the night away dancing and celebrating the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Pape! Congratulations you two – I am so honored to have shared and photographed your big day!
