Any day that I get to take photos at La Cour Venue in McKinney is a great day in my books! And, since I knew I’d be meeting with Shannon to take her bridal portraits at this outdoor wedding venue in Mckinney, I was absolutely thrilled for this portrait session!

Shannon did not disappoint and looked stunning in her “bridal style”! Her dress, designed by Justin Alexander, had a unique texture and created ripples where it brushed the ground. I loved the buttons along the back of her dress which added a classic touch to the modern simplicity of her gown. Shannon’s train was on a whole different level – I definitely have a soft spot for long trains!

Admittedly, the wind was a bit feisty this particular day, but one thing that is always true for Shannon is that she approaches most everything with a sense of calm and grace. We fortunately had one of her trusted friends to help on that day, which also made managing the wind a bit easier! I love having an extra pair of hands to assist with dress fluffing and also holding the veil when needed (every bride needs fun “veil shots!). All in all, Shannon’s bridal session at La Cour Venue in McKinney was a perfect little “teaser” for what was to come – her gorgeous wedding day just a few weeks later! I could not have imagined a sweeter, more heartfelt day for Shannon and her groom, and her bridal portraits were a beautiful piece of the story!
