Today is such an exciting day for me! I have been wanting to photograph a wedding at Stone Crest Venue in McKinney, Texas ever since I first learned about this beautiful venue. When Elizabeth reached out to me inquiring about wedding photography for the intimate wedding she was planning, I was thrilled! May has finally rolled around, and kicking off this wedding season was Elizabeth and Greg’s heartfelt rustic spring wedding at Stone Crest Venue in McKinney!

The weather was forecasted to be quite gloomy on this particular day. I had been keeping an eye on the predictions for the week leading up to Elizabeth and Greg’s wedding day (I’m sure they were, too!) and prayed for the storms to clear up. When I arrived at Stone Crest Venue in McKinney, it appeared as if the weather might possibly let up, but we couldn’t be 100% sure. Family members were already setting up for an indoor ceremony in Stone Crest Venue’s reception space which would have still been beautiful; however, I knew Elizabeth had her heart set on an outdoor ceremony. In a beautiful answer to prayers, the clouds parted and the sun began to pour out across the venue just in time to make a quick change of plans! I was so happy for Elizabeth and Greg! All photos were able to be taken outside – beginning with the bride and groom’s first look and on through the family photos. We were even able to step out after dinner for sunset photos! Who would have guessed?!

The venue alone is breathtaking with its rolling hills and expansive views, but I especially loved the personal touches Elizabeth worked into the ceremony and reception decor. Watering cans, crates, and bunches of wildflowers framed the stairway and adorned the tops of the farm tables which were provided by Beautiful Event Rentals. It turned out to be a beautiful, heartfelt day shared by the bride and groom’s closest friends and family, and I was beyond honored to be a part of capturing it for them.
