I cannot tell y’all how excited I am to share Lauren and Chris’s classic Park Cities Baptist Church wedding! There are so many beautiful Dallas wedding venues in our area, but I always fall for classic church weddings! There is something so elegant and timeless, especially church venues that are as stately in architecture and design as Park Cities Baptist Church. From the stone columns outside the main sanctuary, to the gorgeous greenery surrounding the church campus, and of course the graceful architecture inside Ellis Chapel, Park Cities Baptist Church was a dream to photograph!

As much as I adored getting to photograph all of the timeless appointments of Park Cities Baptist Church, the best part was getting to work with such a wonderful couple – Lauren and Chris! I did not get to photograph their engagement session as they’d already had their portraits done, but I did meet Lauren for her bridal session and loved learning more about her. I will admit, there is always a bit of hesitation when meeting a bride or groom for the first time on their actual wedding day, but Chris was so incredibly friendly and laid back! He was truly so excited to marry the love of his life and celebrate with his friends and family. I loved his upbeat and positive demeanor which complemented Lauren’s quieter yet sweet personality just perfectly. Together, they bring out the best in each other, which makes my job as a wedding photographer so enjoyable!

Some of my favorite moments of the day include their pre-first look letter exchange and, of course, the first look itself! I’m starting to photograph a lot of first looks recently, and I have to say this is something I am 100% behind! Not only did we get to capture a super sweet and intimate moment for the bride and groom, but we also were able to complete ALL of their portraits, wedding party photos, and family photos before the ceremony! We took an extra five minutes after the ceremony for some golden hour photos, but all of the essentials were done ahead of time! This means more time to relax and party!

After a gorgeous wedding ceremony inside Ellis Chapel at Park Cities Baptist Church, we headed out for a wedding reception at The Hall on Dragon in Dallas. Lauren and Chris stayed by one another’s side the entire night greeting and hugging friends and family. Of course, there was also great food, plenty of dancing, and even a photo booth for guests to enjoy. It was a perfect day for this sweet coupe, and I could not have been more honored to share in such a beautiful season for the two of them!
