Wedding season has been so wonderful to me this year! We have been fortunate with the weather thus far (knock on wood!), I’ve been given the opportunity to photograph some beautiful venues, and most importantly I’ve met some incredible couples! This past weekend brought me back to La Cour Venue, a McKinney wedding venue that has a special place in my heart. I have formed a friendship with Amy, the owner of the venue, and am truly comfortable here. Every time I return for another wedding at this McKinney Wedding Venue, it’s like going home!

Aside from getting to photograph a wedding at a favorite venue, I’ve been eagerly anticipating this day because Lauren and Trevor have been planning it for quite some time! I can still remember when Lauren and I met over coffee well over a year ago! I was so impressed with her ability to plan while seeming so cool and confident. Fast forward a few months later, and I was photographing Lauren and Trevor’s engagement session at Prairie Creek Park in Richardson! I still am not quite sure where the time has gone since then, but I can tell you that everyone involved in this special day was so thrilled to see these two tie the knot! It was a beautiful and heartfelt day full of laughter and fun!

Some of my favorite moments to capture were Trevor’s contagious laugh – his joy and excitement was uncontainable! And who could blame him – he was about to marry one seriously jaw-dropping and sweet spirited bride! I also loved watching Trevor’s reaction as Lauren made her way down the aisle during the outdoor wedding ceremony at La Cour. As Trevor gazed upon his bride, his eyes grew as big as saucers…and all he could say was “…whoa.” So cute! Trevor’s father did a wonderful job officiating the wedding ceremony, and I think he might have found himself a new calling! Once Lauren and Trevor were pronounced husband and wife, everyone cheered them down the aisle and we were off to celebrate!

The rest of the evening was filled with great food, music, mingling, and a sense of delight that these two had found one another. The entire day truly could not have gone any better, and everyone was genuinely thrilled to have witnessed Lauren and Trevor become husband and wife (including me!). It has been such a joy to be a part of their love story…and to think, it’s truly just beginning! Lauren and Trevor, thank you for the privilege of capturing your romance – wishing you the absolute best in this sweet adventure that lies before you both!
