Of my greatest joys in life is being able to capture beautiful moments with my family – and I’m sure many other photographers will agree with me on this. However, I can’t stress how important I think it is for the photographer to jump in front of the camera for at least a few snapshots, as well! As hard/frustrating/time consuming as that can be, your family will be so glad to have proof that you excited alongside them. :)

Speaking of family, Dustin’s parents and his sister came in to visit for Christmas, and our gift to them was carving out some time together for a family portrait session. I absolutely love how these came out, because they capture life as it is (with a little polishing here and there…haha!). We had an amazing week getting to spend the holidays together, which went by way too fast. And for those of you who are new to my blog, I’m the blonde with the short hair spending most of her time chasing/consoling/cleaning up the little one! :)
