Kind of a sad/pitiful story, depending on which way you look at it… Dustin and I only got our Christmas tree about a week before Christmas, and that was only thanks to the kindness from a family from our church who gave a REAL tree to us! And just in case you’re wondering, yes – it is still sitting in our living room as I blog! Depressing, right?!
Speaking of Christmas trees, Mandy, whose wedding I’m photographing in October of this year, had the amazing idea to do her e-session at Harmon’s Tree Farm in Lexington! It was an AWESOME location… but I have to admit that when we first got there, it was a little creepy! Since it was close to Christmas day already at this point, the whole place was pretty much shut down to the point that we had the entire grounds totally to ourselves. But the best part was that if you explored back a little, there was a torn down, abandoned-looking amusement park with like three or four unassembled, dirty-looking rides. Talk about PERFECT fodder for a horror movie! Buuuut that’s not what we were going for, so I promptly steered them elsewhere. :)
Mandy and Tyler are an absolutely gorgeous couple – and it was so fun seeing how Mandy would light up every time Tyler would make a random funny face or crack a joke. They are so themselves around each other, which is something that every couple longs for – the ability to let your guard down around someone who truly makes you feel like a better version of yourself.
This session had it all – a stellar location, vibrant colors, good looking subjects, and authenticity. Mandy and Tyler – I simply cannot wait for October to arrive!!
These are gorgeous Emily! Love the movement shot of them walking!
Super stunning session fantastic job!
what a lovely session – the motion blur image is definitely my favourite…vrey creative :-)
Nice images. And I like the tree story, and having it up still is not lame. For a variety of reasons we kept all our decorations out for over a year. Made the house festive. Of course the tree was artificial.
I really love that they didn’t go overly christmasy as tree farms shoots tend to be. I definitely think these are photos they can keep up year-round!
beautiful beautiful shots!!
I LOVE that last image and those are the most perfect looking trees ever! Great use of light as well! :)
