Moving here from North Carolina, I didn’t expect the weather to be all that different, honestly. But boy, was I wrong! Here in South Carolina, you NEVER know what’s going to happen! you can have all the best intentions to schedule a photo shoot one weekend and be counting on mild yet sunny weather, and then get have those same plans blown to you-know-where within 24 hours! At least, that’s what kept happening to me and Kelsey… and like most future brides, she just wasn’t up for a rain session!
Meet Kelsey and Hunter! Their families have known each other for awhile, so you could say that in some ways they grew up together even though they didn’t actually meet one another until their latter years. Both serve our country faithfully, and I am so thankful to them for that! It is always incredibly humbling to meet an enlisted bride or groom, but to have both is even more impressive!
I thought Kelsey’s idea to take their engagement photos in Downtown Columbia, South Carolina near the State Steps was an amazing idea. What a playful, laid-back feel we were able to capture! While we walked up and down Main Street, we had fun talking about kids, minivans, and of course their upcoming May wedding in Saluda, South Carolina! (Unfortunately, I will be unable to shoot their wedding as I am booked, but I am so happy to have had the opportunity to meet them!) Aren’t they adorable? I love that they weren’t afraid to be themselves, silly faces included! Luckily, I was able to convince Hunter to pose for a few “serious photos,” as well! :)
Congratulations, Kelsey and Hunter! I’m so excited to hear how your special day goes, and just know it will be amazing!
