ENGAGED | Stephanie + Charlie – USC Horseshoe Engagement Session in Columbia, South Carolina

August 2, 2014

I always tell new couples, whether just engaged or just married, how important it is to continue flirting with each other! It’s so easy to get into a routine as a husband and wife in the daily grind of work and life, and forget that your spouse needs to feel wanted and desired! Maybe it’s a little PDA (I know some couples just aren’t comfortable with that!) or a little wink or whisper…but either way, you’ve got to find ways to show affection in a manner that keeps things interesting, if you know what I mean! ;)

Speaking of flirty, how insanely adorable are Stephanie and Charlie?! Don’t just take it from me – take a look at the photos from their engagement session, shot at the USC Horseshoe here in Columbia, South Carolina!

The first time I met this couple, Stephanie was the more talkative of the two, and Charlie was the strong, silent type, letting his female counterpart make the calls in terms of the wedding decisions. However, when they showed up for their engagement session, it was almost the opposite way around (except I’m pretty sure he’d still be letting Stephanie make most of the wedding calls! ;) ) Charlie was a big ball of energy, laughing and joking around the whole time – and SO into his beautiful fiancĂ© Stephanie that it was clear he had eyes for no one else. I love how attentive he was to her the entire time, and how comfortable and natural it made her feel in front of the camera. (Not to mention the fact that, despite the ensuing weather coming our way, we managed to get some gorgeous sunset lighting!)

Charlie and Stephanie met in an algebra class at Howard University in Washington, DC. He proposed here in Columbia, and in December of this year they will be getting married at the beautiful (and local) Stone River which overlooks the Riverwalk. To say I am excited would be an understatement! I can’t wait to capture these two and their step into live as husband and wife! Thank you, Charlie and Stephanie!
