I love that as a Dallas and Fort Worth wedding photographer, I am given the opportunity to photograph events at the most beautiful locations! The DFW Metroplex truly has some amazing wedding venues, but it is always really special when I get to photograph somewhere new. Even better when it’s a family property that has special meaning to the couple! Today I am sharing Austin and Chris’s lakeside garden wedding at Eagle Mountain Lake in Fort Worth. Let me tell you – you are in for a treat!
Austin is sincerely one of the most positive young women I have met in my life. I firmly believe in surrounding yourself with people that uplift and encourage you – and Austin is the embodiment of that! We connected early on via email, and while I first fell in love with her because of her name (besides my daughter, she’s the only female I’ve met with that name!), I soon grew to adore her bubbly personality. We only connected via email for a good while, but her genuine spirit translates through all forms of communication. She is who she is no matter what the medium! I had the privilege of meeting Chris on the day of the wedding. Although he is quiet, I quickly picked up on how fiercely loyal and caring he is about his loved ones – first and foremost his beautiful bride Austin. (Their adorable fur baby Kiki may be a close second!). Together, the pair makes a fun-loving and adventurous team who love laughing and celebrating with their close-knit group of friends. What a wonderful support system to help carry them through the years!
Employed with a popular floral team in Austin, Texas, the bride designed her wedding with gorgeous, vibrant tones and pops of color. The whimsical garden feel was perfect for a lakeside wedding at sunset. I particularly loved the floral arch the ceremony altar and the bouquets that overflowed with saturated color! However, the best part about it all was that the day unfolded at Austin’s aunt’s house. This was a sentimental place that held lots of memories for the couple as well as their family and friends. They could walk me around the property and tell me funny stories that had happened at each spot! At the end of the day, that’s what makes weddings so special – shared memories that culminate on one big day as a bride and groom start their grand new adventure together!
Austin and Chris’s wedding day was perfect in every way imaginable. I was welcomed in as part of their family and was honored to capture their big day at Eagle Mountain Lake in Fort Worth. Congratulations, and thank you both for allowing me to document your love story!
