“Opposites do attract,” Danyelle said, and in this sweet couple’s case, it most definitely was true in the absolute best way possible.

Both from the Charleston area, Danyelle feels more comfortable in a city environment whereas Adam likes to take life a little more slowly in the country. But that doesn’t stop them from being one of the most adorable pairs I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting!

The two met through Adam’s sister with whom Danyelle went to school. One day, Adam’s sister invited Danyelle over to her house and introduced her to the family. That’s when Danyelle laid eyes on Adam, and it quickly progressed from there through talking, texting, and ultimately dating!

The funny thing is that she tells me they were off and on for a few years, since they met at the early age of 16 and 17. However, with time brings perspective, and now Danyelle sees this as a good thing, as she feels they both had a lot of growing up to do for a season.

Years later, Danyelle and Adam resolved that they could not live without one another, and it was time to begin the next chapter in their lives. They set their sights on the horizon and decided to unite not only to provide the best possible foundation for their now five-year-old son, but also to build a life together established on an undying love, friendship, and laughter. So, true-to-form for this sweet, laid-back couple, Adam planned a simple, but unforgettable proposal on Valentine’s Day of 2014. Danyelle heartily agreed to spend the rest of her life with Adam.

I love how Danyelle and Adam truly view their relationship as a partnership – but they don’t take themselves too seriously. “We are more than just partners – we’re best friends. What I love most is our laughter, and how we always know how to make each other laugh.”

When emailing beforehand, Danyelle and Adam told me they wanted a rustic engagement session to match their wedding theme – so we found a few fields and I just let them be themselves!
