Oh my goodness! I can’t tell you how much I was counting down the days until I could blog this engagement session! You are about to meet one of the sweetest, most authentic, most down-to-earth, and and most gorgeous couples you’ll ever lay eyes on. And let me go on to say that they are some of the best pals Dustin and I could imagine! Introducing Jackie and Danny, whom I am totally privileged to call current clients and forever friends…
Dustin and I met Jackie and Danny shortly after we relocated from Durham, NC to Columbia, SC to start a multisite campus with newhope church. From the moment they introduced themselves to us and our campus pastor, they have been nothing but eager to be a part of our church and excited to make new friends. Dustin and I quickly welcomed them into our lives and are so happy we did! Now they actively serve at the church and attend the life group we lead.
When I found out that Jackie and Danny were engaged and looking for a photographer to capture her destination wedding in St. Lucia, I immediately offered to help her search. Although I was open about the fact that I am a photographer, I didn’t want to force my services in her face. After all, I was (and still am) new-ish and had just met her! I sent Jackie some referrals to various photographers who would travel. She was thankful, but ended up wanting to chat with me about my possible willingness to shoot their wedding in St. Lucia.
Well, what do you think I said?? OF COURSE!! Total no-brainer!
Jackie had the wonderful idea to shoot their engagement session in Sumter, SC at Swan Lake & The Iris Gardens. I’d never been there before, but I’m so glad we did! What a phenomenal location with gorgeous blossoming trees and greenery all around! (It helps that Jackie and Danny are both attractive… so the surroundings were really only compliments to their good looks!)
Needless to say, I am busting at the seams with excitement for their May 2014 wedding in St. Lucia! Talk about fun times and great images… it will truly be a week to remember! Jackie and Danny, thank you so much for welcoming me and Dustin into your lives!
