introducing mr. and mrs. collins

I feel like I start out so many of my blog posts saying a couple is my favorite. But it’s true! Genuinely, I love my clients.  I first met Lauren and Steve months ago over coffee and fell in love instantly. It’s hard to not adore their warm, vibrant personalities. I knew that their big day was going to be filled with friends and family celebrating this truly gracious couple.

They had their ceremony and reception at the beautiful Avalon Legacy Ranch in McKinney, Texas. This beautiful venue has wooded acreage, beautiful lakes, handsome wooden gazebos, a rustic barn, and vintage touches to make it a perfect setting for a couple’s special day. I could not believe how many spots there were to choose from for photos!  It felt like we were in an entirely different, magical world!

I had such a great time getting ready with the girls!  I even “convinced” Lauren and her closest friends to let loose and jump on the bed for some fun photos (okay, maybe it didn’t take too much convincing, haha!)  

It was beautiful to see her family and friends surrounding Lauren in prayer before the ceremony.  What a truly touching moment this was, especially for Lauren and her mom. Lauren and Steve opted not to do a first look, but instead exchanged gifts and notes using the venue’s pulley system dumbwaiter – so cute!

Lauren dreamed of a fairytale wedding to take place early fall.  And that’s just what she had! White and gold pumpkins reminiscent of Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage were combined with greenery and romantic candles to create an absolutely magical ambience.  I love how they chose cranberry and navy accents. They are such warm, classic colors and worked beautifully for this September day. Lauren also included so many personal touches such as the remembrance photos and hand lettered barnwood signs lining the aisle with sweet quotes. 

Lauren is full of kindness and grace. Everyone who knows her agrees that she is truly a living, breathing Disney Princess. Steve is her match in every way, a true gentleman. Essentially, Lauren’s Disney Prince!

I cannot adequately express how much I loved being a part of Lauren and Steve’s special day!  Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Collins!  Enjoy these images from their storybook wedding!
