I fell in love with Chelsea and Marcus during their engagement session in uptown Dallas this past spring. Instantly, I knew I couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. They were so much fun and had so much personality individually and as a couple. How could this wedding not be one for the books?

These two are fun-loving, hysterical, and quirky in the best way possible! It was so much fun photographing Chelsea and her friends getting ready together. Check out the bridesmaids’ shirts, which were a super cute nod to Chelsea’s love of gangsta rap! I was sure to capture her bridesmaids helping Chelsea lace up her sparkly Kate Spade tennis shoes for a day to be filled plenty of dancing and lots of laughter. Chelsea even shared with me the journal they had made to write their pre-wedding messages to one another – what a sentimental keepsake this will be for them! I can just imagine how special it will be to look back and remember the love shared that day.

We all spent the evening among dinosaurs and with stunning city view. I loved that the pair was up for some fun photos of them playing with the hands-on learning exhibits – such a spot-on depiction of their playful relationship! This was so perfect for them as Marcus loves dinosaurs, and Chelsea is a science teacher!

As for their wedding details, Chelsea and Marcus included all sorts of whimsical special touches. The pink and orange florals were soft yet vibrant. The cake had a hilarious T-Rex bride and groom cake topper – just look at that lipstick! Their favors were dino shaped sugar cookies and the tables were decorated with gilded dinosaurs to compliment her blush and navy color scheme. The breakfast taco bar was such a clever idea! And of course they had Mr. and Mrs. coffee mugs made up that referenced their match made on Tinder! I am not quite sure who smiled more that day – me or the couple!
